Freedom Organic Lager is the lightest in colour of the three lagers. It has a rounded malty flavour with a subtle bitterness and smooth caramel undertone. It is made with organic hops and malt. Britain’s first ever microbrewed lager has been one of the brewing world’s best-kept secrets. Freedom Organic Lager has been obtaining awards for excellence and building a loyal following amongst discerning drinkers, and has recently been Highly Commended by The Times and The Soil Association in The Organic Awards 2008.

Bottle 33cl. @ chris_o’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2008.
Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, toffee watery. Flavor is light to moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (020808)

From tap. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Aroma is cornish and slight grassy. Sweet malty and slight cornish. Slight grassy from the back of the nose. Bitter and cornish dry finish.

As Timmo, I had this as Freedom Organic Lager. An orange beer with a thin disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet and quite malty, but combined with light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of caramel, leading to a slightly bitter end. The mouthfeel is a bit sticky. I miss some character in this beer, but there’s nothing wrong with it.

[email protected] Rake (July 2010). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grass, toffee, malts and some grassyness. Flavour is quite much the same in a rather refreshing and smooth way. 6 3 7 3 13.

Bottle 33 cl. Hazy golden with a white head. Sweet grainy malt aroma. Medium body, sweet malts and some flowery hops with an edge of metal. The finish is dry with a little hops. A little skewed. 160110

Leighton (22820) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 27, 2010
Tap at Bree Louise, London. Pours a semi-clear, pale yellow with a faint, fizzy head. Corn and cereal malt aroma. Sweet, malty flavor with grain and straw. Faintly bitter. Light to medium in body with fizzy carbonation. Finishes clean and rather sweet with hints of apples. Not too shabby,

[email protected] pub as "Freedom organic lager". Pale yellow color, small white head. Served very cold and getting much out of nose is difficult; just faint sweetish malts. Crisp, mostly sweetish malty - not much hoppy. Quite similar to commercial bulk lagers - no big faults, but mostly tasteless.

330 ml. bottle. Rich, lightly roasted malt aroma. Light amber color with a beige/tan head. A bit thin bodied with fizzy carbonation. Bready malt with some spicey hop. Finishes a bit dry.

imdownthepub (15525) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 16, 2007
Bottled, filtered, 330 ml. Straw colour with white head. I have to admit to not having great expectations of this beer, but what a great surprise, ok a thinnish lagery malty body, but then rushes of lemon, pithy citrus notes and a cut grass undertone, a really pleasant beer, not great but very good for a sunday afternoon. I like it.

Bottle at the silver cross Westminster . Hazy yellow. Thin tight head. Skunk sulphurous aroma. High coronation somsweet nutty grain corn .
