This beer is discontinued - current ratings should go under Brothers Freedom Pilsener
Freedom Pisener was originally brewed by Alaister Hook at the Fulham brewery from 1995, with some production taking place at other sites including Hook's Meantime brewery and the Covent Garden site from 1999. Production moved to Staffordshire in 2005 when the rights to the brand were taken back by the original owners/brewers and brewed at Brothers Brewing Co Ltd.

3.2
Wiseblood (700) - Clarksville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 7, 2003
Unfiltered and has a very slight sediment. The lager has a natural haze and the yeast gives it a very soft mouthfeel. Sharp and refreshing and not lacking in malty body.

3.4
Nuffield (4167) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 25, 2002
Hoppy aroma and excellent bitterness. Nice carbonation, too. Not particularly well balanced, with too much bitterness at times, but enjoyable--esp. relative to expectations. (on tap at brewpub, London)

3.3
omhper (24966) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 7, 2002
Unpasteurized surprisingly flavourful and complex for being a British lager. Rathger dry, firm body, good bite in the bitterness.

3.3
duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 3, 2002
Quite a nice pils, nice fresh, clean and a nice hoppy bitterness on the finish. A very good English Pils, which is unusual.

Zasgar99 (2) - London, - OCT 11, 2001 does not count
Ok beer, but the brewery has better beers on offer. The brewmaster is from Cologne, so they somtimes have some decent Kölsch on offer at the brewery.

3.7
Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 30, 2001
Clean, well-balanced. Good dose of hops and a long finish. This is English?
