I used to drink Genny cream ale when I lived in NY. Can’t get it in Fl. When I saw this at Walgreens I noticed it was brewed in Rochester, NY so I knew it was a Genny product and when I saw it was an ale I was hoping it was a different name for the cream ale. WELL, IT IS. It is a close variation of Genny Cream Ale. I like it. I will buy more. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - MAY 13, 2013
16oz can from walgreens poured into a shaker. Pours a clear, very dark gold with a half finger of white head. Aroma is slightly skunky with grains and some herbal hops. Taste is light bitter. Herbal and earthy to start with a slightly skunky finish. Medium bodied with a slightly creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad for a little over $3/4pk. labattslover74 (77) - Florida, USA - JUN 20, 2013
Even though this a cheap beer, it still has more going on the the classic Budweiser. Poured a nice dark gold with a slight head. It has a slightly fruity aroma, It has a smooth taste with a hint of sweetness.
Being that I’m a US Army Iraq veteran I like the can as well. Chudwick (3181) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - JUN 29, 2013
what better way to celebrate the start of the 100th Tour de France, than with Freedom Salute. 16oz can from Walgreens - pours pale gold with quickly diminishing white head. Nose is floral cardboard. Flavor adds light bread. decent aftertaste considering the nose and initial flavors. light to moderate sweetness and light bitterness. obguthr (6301) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - JAN 4, 2015
Corn nose. Clear amber, thick lacy head. Corn and fusel alcohol, moderate strength. Medium body. Full flavored, but not very good tasting.

Deep gold brew poured from the tall boy can. The head is creamy and off white. A sweet doughy nose has some green apple and cereal notes. This is a little bit grainy and has some hints of corn flakes. The finish is a little bit of green apple and hay. Not bad for the money. radio_nowhere (1472) - Maryland, USA - JUN 28, 2013
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2014 Impulse buy from Walgreens, tall can poured into pint glass. Clear amber’ish golden-pale color with white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt and very slight fruity note. Taste is kind of doughy, corny and some grain. Light body, heavy carbonation, sweet with a dry finish. Not really remarkable for my first cream ale, guess I can only go up from here! Can thanks to Chudwick. Uhh...let freedom ring with watered down ale? It is easy drinking and more flavorful than the Budweiser I had before it, but...one wonders WTF sometimes. Headbanger (3992) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAR 29, 2014
16oz can 3/29/14 (Walgreens-FLA)-Pours a clear medium golden with a small white head. Aroma of grains, malt, and caramel. Taste of the same with a caramel and slight metallic finish. This light to medium bodied brew is an ok brew. Onslow (1481) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Pour from a 16oz can, 4 pack from Walgreen’s. Deep golden yellow brew with white head. Active carbonation. Aroma of corn, vegetal funk, light skunkiness and a little ethanol. Taste is sweet at the start with a little funkiness and herbal hops in the middle, ending sweet again, a little butter and more funk rounding things out. Subtle but distinct metallic bite at the very very end. Meh.
