3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2014 Appearance: served on tap with a creamy head that subsided quickly leaving decent lacing. Color is a reddish brown and mostly clear.
Aroma: very earthy aroma, also pick up some caramel and toasted wheat bread, a bit of mild citrus.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied with a quite dry finish.
Flavor: considerable malt dominance with the caramel in the background of the toasted bread, very earthy flavor, with some citrus in the finish.
Pour on tap at the brewery, clear dark red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, toast, hints of caramel, slight grassy, spicy, and yeasty notes go into a bit of sweet fruit, touch of earth. Taste is a mix of earth, spice, and grass, slight hint of caramel, fruit, and biscuit, finishing fairly bitter, slightly dry. brucebruce81 (391) - GUAM - OCT 9, 2012
