Folly’s Pride - 4.7% abv

Crisp, clean, citrusy. Grapefruit Blonde. Summer Session Ale. Easy drinking with mild acidity.

Ingredients: Organic malted barley, organic grapefruit zest, organic hops, house ale yeast. Folly’s Pride post Folly’s Pride, our summer session ale, aka grapefruit blonde, is out on the market and getting a tremendous response. We love this beer, made with 10 lbs of fresh organic grapefruit zest. There was an article in the City Paper about our collaboration with the Juice Joint to make the beer. Re-selling the grapefruits to an organic juicer was the only way we could make this work, so we did it! Look for Folly’s Pride to be available all summer as a seasonal through September.

Feels more like a blonde ale. Not too hoppy, good grapefruit notes without being too bitter. Good palate.

From tap at ADT. Pours clear gold with a fizzy white head. Some grapefruit and yeast on the nose. More pronounced fruit, wheat, yeast flavors. Light bodied with bright carbonation. Decent session beer.

Draft pour in Charleston. White head on a bright yellow/orange color body. Taste is very light with subtle hops. Nothing stands out but it's easy to drink

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Grains and straw, faint floral bitterness, light citric notes, and a clean and balanced finish. Decent.

Draft at the brewery The ale poured a clear amber with an off white head and lacing. This IPA has some grapefruit rind on the nose and taste. The ale had a medium body with average carbonation. The ale has an interesting production story. It finished smooth with some dryness and no lingering bitterness.
