Winner of two awards in the 1998 beauty of hops awards, this beer was especially brewed to use the "first gold " variety of hops, it has been described (by the award judges) as "orange peel and apricot blossom blended together beautifully" we prefer to say that it is an incredibly hoppy golden beer well suited to all "hop heads" everywhere.
Ingredients: Water from natural sources under the Royal Forest of Dean; Barley grown in the Cotswolds and malted by Warminster Maltings; First Gold whole hops grown in the "Three Counties"; Yeast.

Beth101 (531) - West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2008
Smell of wheat and hops. Cloudy golden with a large white airy head. Flavour was bitter and wheaty. Had a slight fizziness.

Palidor19 (3188) - Brandon, Florida, USA - OCT 15, 2008
Smells a bit funky, the taste is a well all around flavor. The malts is average with a little bit of wheat like tasting, not much on the hop fronts.

nick76 (4399) - Tampa, Florida, USA - OCT 15, 2008
The aroma is yeasty with a plastic quality and butter. There is also plenty of malt. The appearance is golden with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall it’s drinkable.

skortila (5873) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - SEP 20, 2008
Bottled. Bought at a supermarket in Killin, Scotland. Aroma is floral hoppy. Clear, golden coloured with a white head. Taste is bit bitter, sharp (probably not the best hops used..) bitter. Thin beer. mwoah.

Gold, ice-cream float head. Sweetish light hoppy aroma. Rich malty taste - grainy and dry resiny hops. Well balanced, and a little nutty.
