Bottle. Some bitterness but not over poweringly so. Reminds me of a lager rather than a bitter. Pleasant maltiness and an all round well balanced drink. DruncanVeasey (8260) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2010
Bottle from Bulko Co-op. Bronze with a fine spotting white head. Hazelnut, dusty choc Hobnob, hedgerow fruit and oily hop aroma. Fudgy and Hobnob malt balanced (robustly) with bitterness, berries, some cask. Thick with character, biscuit and hop richness. Solid. Bart (2936) - Brussels, BELGIUM - NOV 29, 2008
Bottle, brown coloured beer with some average carbonation and a small to average off-white head. Special grainy roasted and malty aroma. Full creamy sweet fruity palate. Finish is bitter fruity, roasted with some sweeter touches. Not bad, this one. harrisoni (19159) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2008

Bottle, from Co-op Mablethorpe. Deep copper bronze, thin but lasting white head and gentle condition. Gentle sweet toffee, vanilla and hazelnuts in the nose, again sweet in the mouth with an earthy edge and a touch of fruitiness although some hop bitterness emerges with time, finish is all burnt toffee and dry bitterness with low sticky sweetness lingering.

500ml bottle from my local Co-op store. Copper with a ring of off-white head; damp straw aroma; sweet and sour fruit and chewy caramel flavours, quite lively in the mouth; dry, nutty and malty finish. Warming and very pleasing. scotty (1218) - SCOTLAND - DEC 15, 2008
From a Co-op somewhere in Newcastle. Nice deep copper colour, thick white head, attractive aromas of hops and malt. Medium bodied malty palate balanced by a hoppy/spicy finish. Good. downender (8774) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 25, 2008
500ml bottle from a local co-op store. Reddish amber in colour with a slight, off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Sweet red fruit and caramel aroma with a hint of earthiness. Flavour had plenty more fruit, some chewy biscuit malt and a balancing long, dry finish. Good. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - AUG 19, 2010
Bottled. A dark brown beer with an off-white ring of head. A dry, slightly fruity aroma with boozy notes. Dry in the mouth. Malty and woody with bits of dusty chocolate. Reasonably interesting, but not overly flavoursome.
