Copper to amber in color with rich white head. Aroma is of flowery hops with hint of caramel and malt. Balanced flavor with fairly assertive hop bitterness. American flavor profile - very consistent with a pale ale although not billed as one. Travlr (24665) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 5, 2014
Draft at the source. Hazy amber color, thick tan head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of lemon bread. Taste is toasted caramel. KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - MAY 24, 2012

Pours an average amber with a nose of toasty, dried hops. Flavor is leaves, hops, and toast. Oily on the palate. Tasty.
Tap flight at the brewery. Dark amber-nutmeg pour. White head left a long time ago leaving a ring around the top of the brew. Aroma of caramel malt and hops. Taste is otter iced coffee with a drop of agave nectar and earthy hop bitterness. Very bitter on the end like an ESB.

On tap at brewpub. Pours a clear copper with a small off white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is raisin malt and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet malt and raisin with a light crisp finish. Easy to drink a very good amber ale from Freetail. BeerRenter76 (1014) - Texas, USA - JAN 10, 2016
Hazy, sediment filled amber colored body with a frothy off white cap, that is leaving some decent lacing. Some sweet caramel in the aroma with a very faint hint of orange hops. Flavor is geared towards the malts but a little hop bitterness comes out in the dry finish. Overall, not too shabby. jkwalking05 (4735) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JAN 23, 2009
Amber in color with a small off-white head. Aroma is of fruit, hops, and flowers with some malt and caramel notes. Taste is moderately hoppy with light grapefruit notes and a sweet malty finish. llcooldave (1217) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - MAY 30, 2009
Toasty malt aroma and a coppery red appearance. Flavor is pretty much a straight up toasty malt with a delicious slight licorice aftertaste. Nice effort. I’ll definitley order again. DarkBeerChick (155) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - JUL 10, 2010
Nice copper red with a light head. Aroma is rich and inviting with slight hops. Flavor was surprisingly full bodied with mild hops and a mild sweetness. Not bad at all and would probably order again.
