Clean, crisp, refreshing. Really all you could ask for in a helles. Mild hop presence, nice.

Can poured a clear gold with a small lasting white head. Aromas of straw, fruitiness and light yeast. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, fruitiness and a hint of yeast with a smooth dry finish.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear pale straw color with a white head. Aroma and taste of corn, grains, and bread. Light body. Medium to high carbonation. Clean and crisp finish.

Color is hazy light gold with white head that does not persist as a helles. Faint noble hop aroma and faint pils malt aroma, too low for style. The balance is even to slightly bitter, too bitter for style, malt flavor is simple pils at a medium level, very pleasant. Hop flavor is medium with noble hop tones. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Thin palate with med-low carbonation, too low for style. Very good beer that tastes more as a Munich pils than a Munich helles.

Can from Kroger. Clear pale golden with a big white frothy head with plenty of lace. Aroma of toasted grain and grass with a hint of lemon. Taste is grainy malts with a nice mild bitterness. Light bodied, crisp, and dry. Pretty solid for the style.

Pours a hazy mid yellow body with a thin white cap that is leaving some spotty lace. Aromas and flavors of bready malts, a bit thin on the flavor and palate. Overall it’s decent enough.

PorterPounder (8183) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 3, 2015
San Antonio, Tx - Total Wine & More - 12 oz can. Hazy, medium golden pour, snow white head. Aroma has some light yeasty accents, some wort-like notes. Flavor is classic Helles with some nice doughy cake mix accents, some salt water taffy sweetness, a touch of vanilla. Mouthfeel has a decent crispness to it. Fairly decent.

Hazy golden with a pleasant foamy sticky white head. The nose is quite cracker-lagerish with that blonde helles cereal grain tone. Smooth and crisp flavor, full of what blonde, light wheaty and cerealish helles malt flavor, in spades. Very light noble bitterness just to balance. Very quaffable and clean and great.

degbert (1776) - Austin, Texas, USA - AUG 30, 2015
Can. Pours a hazy gold with a high, mixed-grained, lazy, white head. Nose is tropical fruit, honey, baking bread, yeast, and soft hop notes. Not terribly sweet; a little white pepper, a little more tropical fruit, relatively soft and muted, not much hops. Finish is long and cooling. Very mild, almost too much so.
