Clear dark brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dry wood - smoke, chocolate, dark roasted, smoke notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sugary, sweet malt, roasted, molasses, light chocolate - coffee. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 
22 fl oz bottle. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malt and light liqourice note. Smooth and yet hardroasted malt flavoured. Dark chocolate and breadish dark malty. Thick, rich body, sweet hard roast, vanilla accents, licorice and dark dried fruits. Dry finish with some warming alcohol. Very pleasant. 170611

Opaque black - brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is soft and slightly heavy. Rich dark malt with some molasses. Unsweet dark chocolate. Malt cream and a touch of caramel. Trace of bubblegum esters underneath.
Bottle at RBWG 2013 Grand Tasting. Pours dark brown with a creamy, tan head. Tangy dark malt nose, some char, earth. Big sweet flavor, dark sugars, some mocha, mellow roast. Light black with a good sized tan head that retains well.
Nose is dark malts, light smoke, roasty tones, dark chocolate, spice, liqourice, dark fruits.
Taste comprises dark toffee fudge, spice, dark fruits, Xmas cake, cherry pangs, dark chocolate, light roast, molasses.
Medium + in body, fine carbonation with a drying close carrying sweet licks.
