22 ounce bottle thanks to Errl. Pours a darker copper with no head of foam. The aroma is sour and tannic with big vanilla and oak notes coming through. Not hugely sour, but there is a slight tartness here. Boutip (6374) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 23, 2012
Bottle: Poured a deep red/dark burgundy color ale with a average size foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma consists of oak and vinous notes with light acidic notes. Taste is a nice mix between some port notes with light woody notes and some vinous notes. Acidity level is quite balanced with a nice level of tart notes. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Nice sour ale with good overall balance. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 15, 2012
(draught) cloudy brown, medium tab head with fine bubbles. Nose of tart cranberry and other berries, cream, wet wood. Taste of tart cranberry, light raisin/fig, complex and tart. Medium body, tart linger, nice carbonation level. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - JUL 24, 2012
On tap at the brewpub.
The beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma has a lot of dark fruit and cherries, as well as some toffee malt. The flavor is quite funky, with some leather notes to go along with some barnyard funk. I also get some tart cherries and tart grapes, as well as a hint of sweetness from the toffee malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - NOV 7, 2012
