Untraditional Belgian-inspired beer brewed with raw wheat and 15% malted rye; seasoned with coriander and orange peel. Tongue-in-cheek take on an ancient classic of the beer world. Delicately spicy, but assertive enough to take on the richest of flavors.

On tap at brewery, poured a hazy pale gold hue w/ a small, fizzy white head, short retention wi/ sparse lacing. Mild aroma of rye malt w/ fruity and earthy hops. Taste of light toast and rye. Light body, medium carbonation, watery mouthfeel, and a dry finish.

Straw yellow color with a foamy white head. Light spicy nose with some bubblegum notes. Nice spicy Belgian wit beer with clove, bubblegum and banana flavors. Light, easy drinking beer.

Spicy and fruity, but somehow different than the spicy and fruity you’re imagining. Maybe it’s the rye talking.

MrChopin (4305) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 13, 2013
transparent gold, almost clear. Nose is lotion, light citrus, faintly oily, bit of rye dryness. Flavor has more rye up front, citrus and light paper through mid, finishes with light grass and oil, dry finish with lightness throughout. Supremely drinkable.

Light with mild spice. A bit too thin -- could use more body and a bit more character. Fairly dry.
