COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So stood President John F. Kennedy at the steps of the Rathaus Schöneberg, preparing to deliver what would become his iconic speech in front of 450,000 free citizens of West Berlin. "Today, in the world of freedom, the proudest boast is Ich bin ein Berliner!" A half-century later, our country embroiled in bitter political debate over the most trivial of ideals, we present this wood-aged Berliner Weisse as a tribute to the world of Freedom and an olive branch of collaboration to all those who can’t seem to get along. For those who wish to drink it, "Lass’ sie nach San Antonio kommen" – Let them come to San Antonio! Ingredients: Pilsen malt, malted wheat; traditional German hops; top-fermenting yeast; lactobacillus; natural, limestone-filtered, Edwards Aquifer H2O; jelly-filled donuts.

Can from Kroger. Clear, very pale yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma of sour apple, wheat and citrus. Taste is fruity and moderately tart. Light bodied and dry.

Poured from a can. Aroma has a medium light wheat note with some lemon and herbal phenolics. Some moderate citric acid notes with a bit of bile. Pours a hazy, yellow straw color with a medium sized, thin, rocky head that recedes quickly and disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor has a light to medium light sweetness with moderate wheat notes. Moderate acidity. Lots of orange and lemon citrus notes. Light phenolics with a bit of bubblegum and tropical fruit. Light bitterness. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but it lacks a wow factor. Would be an easy drinking lawnmower beer. I think it’s the sweetness that is a bit off putting for me.

Surprised I haven't rated this yet... Light wheaty tartness, yet crisp and fairly thin... Easy to have a few, akin to a light American lager in Berliner form... Great beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

on tap at flying saucer in houston. did they really put jelly-filled doughnuts in this? pale dishwatery appearance with thin lacing; aroma of both soft cheese and cheesecake with hints of furry apple; very crisp with some appleskin and funky cheese lingering; weird and delicious

Can. Pours a hazy gold-yellow with a medium, fine-grained head. Nose is sharp with lemony overtones. More sweetness than some Berliners; definite sourness, quite clean, refreshing. Finish has a little funk to it. I like this; it’s a pretty straight-ahead example of the style.

12 oz. can, pours a cloudy dull yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of wheat and medium tartness. Flavour is tart, wheaty and lightly funky, with bright citrus, wheat and perfect tartness. There’s a lovely funky funky quality that amplifies the complexity.. Super refreshing and wonderfully balanced. Excellent berliner.

Poured from a 12 ounce can, thanks to Daniel. The aroma is dusty, doughy, soft lemon. The flavor is apple, lemony, doughy. Very refreshing. Very well balanced.

Can - Soapy, creamy wheat and a light citrus tang. Cloudy yellow with a nice white head. Tart soured wheat, citrus and a creamy mouthfeel. Nice clean finish. Quite nice.

Pale cloudy yellow. Looks like a hefe. White fizzy head lasts a long time. Papery aroma. Light tart flavor with a surprising light malt finish a hint or sharpness in the aftertaste. A little bit of corn, sweetness peeks in here and there.

Tap at cottonwood. Pours a hazy yellow, little head. Aroma is gross. Vomit, trash, vinegar, fermenting bodily fluids. Wtf. Taste is slightly better, some wheat, light acidity, there is an always present vomit taste. Like bile. Not happy about it. Thin mouthfeel, high carbonation. Would not drink again.
