Like Freigeist Abraxas, it’s also inspired by the style Lichtenhainer, but this version is stronger (6% alc.) and contains more lactic sourness. Brewed until 2012 at Braustelle (375 ml bottle), from 2013 at Göller in Zeil (330 ml bottle).

Pdubyah (724) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 24, 2016
Stunning. Get one. Get two. Get in! This is smokey on opening, smokey in the glass and smokey in the mouth, with softness from the malt and a sharp bitter but not over the top finish. It’s just a good beer .

Freigeist Abraxxxas 6% 6$ bottle from the LCBO. A clear orange gold with an intensely smokey ham and sweet pear aroma. Medium bodied with a semi-sweet mouthfeel. The taste is smokey, sweet honey-glazed ham with pear. Delicious.

500 ml bottle from the Party Source. Pours a hazy yellow gold color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have smoked grainy malts, bread, lemon citrus, salt, lactic sour notes, strange yet interesting beer.

Hammy78 (973) - Dundas, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 4, 2016
Bottle from the University Plaza LCBO. Pours a cloudy golden colour, big foamy white head, spotty lace. Smells, sweet caramel, malt, also a little smokey. Tastes not quite what I imagined, no sour or tartness or salt. Tastes more like a burn banana, and sweet.

Spab (3778) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 4, 2016
500 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a gently hazy, dull golden colour with smallish off-white head. Aroma is fairly smoky with some wheat and gentle sour fruitiness. Flavour is also smoke forward but the pear is more prominent as well as some lactic sourness with some light wheaty notes. Average body. Decent.

obguthr (6298) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - AUG 15, 2016

Smoky more than sour. Milky, but also, somehow, thin. Not bad, but didn’t live up to my Oh too high expectations.
