On tap. Excellent, interesting beer. Pour cloudy dark gold. Smoke and sour apples in the nose. Taste had a lemon zest, moderate tartness, with just an inkling of smoke. Bottle (SB, if my memory serves me right). Yellow hazy. Smoky nose. Wheaty malts, smoked ham, beef jerky, seaweed, peat. Sort of soft though, the smokyness is. Very pleasant. Med bodied, med dry finish. Good flavours, bunch of them. Malt-wise a bit weak- wheaty, blandish, but the peat/smoke is soft, nicely filling in. Draft pour at Mammoth Seattle, light golden pour, sour aroma, you can definitely taste the smoke in this one.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark yellow to orange color with minimal white head. Aroma is bacon, smoke, and a faint sour/tart character. Taste is mild compared to the aroma in terms of smoke, there is a pronounced lemon tartness in the flavor with a hint of perfume and coriander type of character. Bottle with huge thanks to Bursprak!! Pours and unclear, light amber with a small, white head. Aroma has wheat, banana and some smoke. Taste is sweet up front, but turns more spicy with some smoke, slight hops, cow poo and grain. One could wonder how this is the same category as Goses. Well, not very good. light amber-orange with fine off-white head, medium-slow rate of decay. Aroma is lots hardwood smoke! semi-sweet sour-dough bread, grass. Body is medium, oily, moderate, fine carbonation with light burn, creamy feel. Flavor is crazy! Tart (light under ripe raspberries) and light clean smokiness, blackberries, touch of strawberry, dry grain bread crust. Overall, this is a crazy, awesome beer. (Bottle sample at tasting, VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Jan 26 2015) Pours a hazy medium gold with a whitish head that fades to a ring. Aroma of bacon and smoke, salty. Slight banana ester. Mildly lactic yoghurty notes. On the palate, banana, bubblegum and orange and raw wheat core, smoky salty bacon really kicks in towards the middle and keeps things dry. Pretty woody and smoky and herbal towards the finish with a little salt lingering into the aftertaste. Slightly mineral. Light bodied with almost no carb. First Lichtenhainer, really weird style. Nice style , smoked malt , a bit of Pepper , sour and realy fresh... This was Freak stuff
