Like Freigeist Abraxas, its also inspired by the style Lichtenhainer, but this version is stronger (6% alc.) and contains more lactic sourness. Brewed until 2012 at Braustelle (375 ml bottle), from 2013 at Gller in Zeil (330 ml bottle).

Draft. An unclear amber beer with lazing white head. The aroma has notes of salt, malt, and brettanomyces. The flavor is sweet with notes of salt, malt, alcohol, And caramel, leading to dry salty finish.

0.5 l bottle from Rudat, bottled in 2015. Clear, golden amber with a thin, foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Very smoky, a bit fruity and minimally aroma of smoked ham, campfire, wheat and a touch of apples. Sweetish, very smoky and minimally sourish taste of smoked ham, campfire, some wheat, apples and a touch of rhubarb, followed by a medium long, slightly tart and smoky finish. Medium body, smooth, slightly creamy and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Tasty, extremely well-balanced, love the subtle tartness in this. More persuading than the apple and pear version to me.

Draft 8 oz pour at No Anchor. Pours a shiny golden orange with a full cover foam head. How this isnt classified as a smoked beer, I couldnt tell you. Its as obvious as it gets, as far a Im concerned. Smoked flavor from beginning to end. Hard to pick up any other detail. Maybe a salted background. Not a bad beer, but as a gose? I have no idea whats going on here.

1 pint bottle. Subdued smoky aroma. Light honey amber color with no head to speak of but plenty of effervescence. Initial smoky taste (which lingers) gives way to a delicate salty/sour finish. Interesting.

Stunning. Get one. Get two. Get in! This is smokey on opening, smokey in the glass and smokey in the mouth, with softness from the malt and a sharp bitter but not over the top finish. Its just a good beer .

Freigeist Abraxxxas 6% 6$ bottle from the LCBO. A clear orange gold with an intensely smokey ham and sweet pear aroma. Medium bodied with a semi-sweet mouthfeel. The taste is smokey, sweet honey-glazed ham with pear. Delicious.

500 ml bottle from the Party Source. Pours a hazy yellow gold color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have smoked grainy malts, bread, lemon citrus, salt, lactic sour notes, strange yet interesting beer.
