Bottle at the DTE tasting, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark brown with a round tan head. The aroma is roasted malt liqourice hop. 375ml bottle [BBE 03/2012]. Black colour with late awakening, small to average, firm, creamy, long lasting, fairly lacing, beige head. Sweetish dark malty aroma, notes of treacle, vanilla, oak, leather. Taste is minimally sourish, dry dark malty, lots of oak and vanilla, warming alcohol in the finish. Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma has a lot of vanilla and chocolate notes with some roasted malt. The flavor is full of chocolate and vanilla as well. I also get some roasted malt and a hint of oak. Fairly dry. Medium to thick mouthfeel and low to medium carbonation. Woodshed 2.0. Bottle pours with a deep darkness that supports a mocha colored head of foam. The modest aroma offers up dark roasted malts, black strap molasses, slivers of earthy malts and then a chocolate brownie sensation. The taste delivers sweetness heading into dark roasted malts and a bit of tartness. It later picks up additional sourness and chocolate brownie. Very dark pour, tan head. Flavor is ashy, dry, licorice, ashphalt, charred wood. Its good, but I was hoping for more.
