Cask at GBBF 2012 ... Musty copper ... thin tan lacing ... peppery woody toffee nose ... peppery front ... juicy malt ... soft pine ... light soapy ... big soft pepper linger ... wierd but in a nice way joe19612 (3020) - camberley, Surrey, ENGLAND - SEP 20, 2012
GBBF 2012. Pours a dark brown colour with a thin white head, aroma is smoky and has some dark malts, taste is malty with a long dry finish. PotjeBier (3628) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 31, 2012
On tap @ In De Wildeman (as Freigeist Cedar Ale / 6% ABV). Color is brown, yeasty. Nice off white head with retention & good lace. Aroma’s: from the glass lightly sweet & smoky, but the real aroma’s come retronasal: tobacco, iodine, smoke, a little acidity. Flavor is medium bitter with wood. Light bodied. Finishes dry, smoky & bitter. Really something else. oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 19, 2012

Hazy orange colour, small white head. Cigarbox like aroma with some nice wooden notes. Flavour is wooden, cedary, cigarry and very nice. Like chewing on cigarbox!
Gravity @ GBBF ’12. Pours a deep, murky brown color with no head. The nose is strong cedar wood. Like sticking your face into a cedar chest. Pulpy and lightly sweet, grainy. The taste is tangy cedar supported by rich earthy malts. Some show polish. Long finish. Flavorful. This beer drinks very easy considering the chunky ABV. Medium body, soft carbonation. Good!
