[email protected] Hazy orange colour, small white head. Cigarbox like aroma with some nice wooden notes. Flavour is wooden, cedary, cigarry and very nice. Like chewing on cigarbox!

UPDATED: APR 2, 2013 Birra molto particolare dove la nota legnosa data dal cedro è molto interessante e mai noiosa. Spinata in pompa.

Cask at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam, listed at 6% ABV
Cloudy dark amber color with generous creamy head, persistent. Nice and mild aroma of cedar wood, spices, frankincense. Moderate carbonation, light caramel flavor, evident cedar wood and frankincense character; it doesn’t have the fruity touch of other cedar wood beer, it’s very pleasant; a different one, although it could get better with a citrusy touch.

PotjeBier (3774) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 31, 2012
On tap @ In De Wildeman (as Freigeist Cedar Ale / 6% ABV). Color is brown, yeasty. Nice off white head with retention & good lace. Aroma’s: from the glass lightly sweet & smoky, but the real aroma’s come retronasal: tobacco, iodine, smoke, a little acidity. Flavor is medium bitter with wood. Light bodied. Finishes dry, smoky & bitter. Really something else.

Gravity @ GBBF ’12. Pours a deep, murky brown color with no head. The nose is strong cedar wood. Like sticking your face into a cedar chest. Pulpy and lightly sweet, grainy. The taste is tangy cedar supported by rich earthy malts. Some show polish. Long finish. Flavorful. This beer drinks very easy considering the chunky ABV. Medium body, soft carbonation. Good!

GBBF. As Braustelle Cedarwood Alt. Light haze on this amber beer. Light dry palate. Goods spicy cedar dominates, trace of citrus underneath. Finishes semi dry with cedar spice aftertaste.
