phaleslu (10247) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 3, 2015
Draft at Ei8ht Ball, served in a flight. Pours a hazy gold with an inch-plus of white head that leaves a sheet of lace in the glass before finally settling into a lasting ring and film. Smells putrid. Rubber, band-aid, wet hay from a horse stall, wet grass, earth, and a bit of lemon. Tastes basically the same as the disgusting smell. Light-bodied, with moderate to medium carbonation and a dry, rubbery, earthy, damp mouthfeel. Take the sensation of standing in a horse stable, then take the smell, concentrate it, and put it in your mouth and nostrils. That’s what drinking this "braggot" is like. How a reputable brewery can put this product out for consumption as a braggot or anything close to a mead (or beer) is beyond me. Gross.

2.4
DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 25, 2015
4oz on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Up front, surprisingly big smokey and bandaid aroma. Clear golden, slight orange color. Thin white sort of bubbly head. Lighter body. Kind of soft, stronger carbonation. More dry finish. Moderate bitter taste, very dry. Very mild sweet. Some floral, and honey. Not a fan of this one.
