Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is citrus, grass, light floral and cereal. Taste is light bitters with sweetness coming through on the finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and slick texture.

Hazy , amber color. one finger thick , white head . Grain , fruits and grass in aroma. Malty , grainy but not too sweet taste with hoppy bitterness at the end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Big fruity grain aromas. Deep hazy orange with tan lasting head. Super smooth grain grows and then rinses away very refreshingly

rondphoto (4488) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - AUG 30, 2016
bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Aroma of sweet malt. Hazy medium amber color, off-white head that sinks to a full cover, sheets of lace. Taste is semi-sweet malt that moves through light fizz to a slightly bitter swallow, then gradually back to sweet before mild hops interrupt at the very end. Doesn’t much resemble a Kolsch, and not especially well-balanced, but it is interesting. Probably not a re-do here.

obguthr (6538) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - JUL 6, 2016
Extra lemony hay nose. Opaque amber, medium head. Malt, lemon, orange, lightly grassy finish. Full body, soft carbonation. Very refreshing and surprisingly fruity, unusually so for the style.

tnkw01 (1775) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 23, 2015
Bottle. Freigeist Ottekolong version of this beer. Golden, slightly hazy, with a large three to four finger and lots of lace. Aroma is bread, grains. Taste is a well balanced flavor with notes of grains a tad tangy up front and a clean finish.

bytemesis (8823) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - SEP 19, 2015
Bottle as Freigeist Ottekolong. Pours quite hazy Arnold Palmer, medium white head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is bready, grassy, grain. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, quite malty and bready, a bit of field grass. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Pretty good Kolsch.

mathieuc (4000) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 13, 2015
50cl bottle from Parker Pie, "Freigeist Ottekolong" label. Pours a slightly unclear light golden with a small cap that leaves some lacing. Nose is of cereals, yeast and some light sulfur. Taste is of cereals, a little husky and pretty much completely dry. Moderately high bitterness. Light peppery ending to it. Some bready impressions. Body is light to medium, carbonation high and mouthfeel is a little creamy or maybe oily. Overall a tasty beer, can’t say I was really blown away by it though.

Lowenbrau (4525) - Asturias, SPAIN - OCT 31, 2014
330ml bottle fron Sr. Lúpulo, Gijón. 31-10-2014.
BBD: 01-01-2015.
In short: off flavoured beer.
Pours some hazy golden with little white head. Short head retention, some lacing. Skunky nose, some citrusy aromas. Light body, average to high carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is weird, starts citrusy, herbal, and then develops a harsh unpleasant sensation by the end and aftertaste. Maybe some kind of problem occurred with this batch or bottle.
