On draft at Owl Farms imperial stout fest. Robust yet still smooth and balanced. Flavors of coffee, pumpernickel, roast malts. Very good.

Pours almost completely black, topped with a fine tan head, nice retention. Roasty malts with a bit of grainy feel, caramel and coffee in the aroma. Taste starts with some sweet caramel malt, some coffee present and roastiness as well, leading to mild bitterness in the finish. Slight feel of alcohol, but generally well hidden. Decent one.

This draft brew from a restaurant poured a head of foamy finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque black brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was rye and brown malt. The semi-flat mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering malty aftertaste. The mild flavor contained notes of rye brown malt and hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Rated on 01-31-2015 at 800 Degrees Three Fires, Fort Wayne, IN. This draft beer has no head, opaque dark brown body and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is rye, malt and roasted. The flavor is rye, roasted, malt, and alcohol. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, a quaffable beer that needs more flavor and lacks character.

Black color with a light beige head that quickly diminishes, nice lacework. Aroma has notes of black chocolate, toasted malts, some sweet hints and rye traces. Flavor has notes of toasted malts, some roasted, black coffee, light licorice, slightly sweet. The final is roasty with notes of toasted bread.

Scura con schiuma marrone poco persistente. Al naso si percepiscono note vegetali di soia. In bocca corpo consistente e ben bilanciata tendenzialmente amara. Il sapore un po "grasso" di salsa soia e caramello amaro finisce con secchezza. Birra un po dificile.... consigliata in abbinamento a cioccolato fondente.
