2013 from Chuck’s Hop Shop for $17.99 last month. Deep ruby brown with a half finger brown head, creamy with fair retention. Big bourbon aroma, caramel and toffee. Some spicy alcohol and light roast, fading tobacco. Flavor big on the bourbon and heat, a bit of sherry. Otherwise follows suit. Still spicy and a bit hot. Bitterness is pretty low. Dry. Medium body with light carbonation. Damn good--rather, will be in a year. Still too hot. I am quite impressed with Fremont.

Pours a deep copper color with white head. Cinnamon and holiday spice aroma and taste with a booze edge, some bitterness from the spices as well. Notes: On tap at Hops and Pie, GABF Week '16

Love B-Bomb! Great appearance, taste and strong aroma. A bit overwhelming, can't drink to many. Goes great with a cigar.

Bomber, 2017 vintage. Rich caramel malt aroma with decadent chocolate, vanilla, coffee, oak, leather and bourbon. Pours dark caramel brown colored with a light toffee brown head that has little retention and some lacing. Starts with decadent caramel and chocolate malt flavors with notes of leather as well as rich, full body and a silky, viscous mouthfeel. Finishes impeccably smooth with some coffee, bourbon, vanilla and oak flavors. Excellent winter warmer!

Aromas of aged malts, prunes, raisins, dark malts, wort, figs, chocolate, cocoa, toffee, star anise, oak, slight coffee, leather, corn syrup and molasses. Pours black as night with a half finger foam and intense lacing. Taste brings distinct brown sugar, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, gingerbread, toffee, coffee, black licorice, raisin, almonds, pecans, cigar smoke, roasted malt and faint peat smoke upfront. Mid palate gives way to spectacular notes of barrel wood, sawdust, leather, oak, corn syrup, vanilla, oats, alcohol sugars, and toasted caramel. Finishes remarkably smooth with very little booziness. Overall, this is an absolute gem with incredible flavor. Tastes very close to drinking actual bourbon. A+ rating.

Bottle compliments of JohnGalt1. Thanks Toby! It pours a pitch black. No sign of any other colour, even when held up to the light. Small tannish head of foam with some lacing. My nose is permeated with the smell of bourbon. Other aromas include oak, vanilla, light coffee, caramel. Taste follows the nose, with some toffee, and warming but not interfering alcohol. Complex flavours going on here and I'm probably not doing them justice with my descriptions, which I can live with. The beauty in a beer is the actual encounter; any words added are limited by the person's ability to describe what's going on in a meaningful way. I defer to others who CAN accomplish that task. Full bodied with ample carbonation. Simply outstanding and if I was a younger bloke, I would seek out another bottle to cellar. I reckon that the sky's the limit with this one.

2017/13%: Black pour with a tan head. Aroma is big time barrel notes of vanilla and wood with caramel and lesser notes of chocolate and darker fruit. Full bodied, fairly one dimensional despite all the barrel aging and blending. Full bodied, alcohol hidden well, quite drinkable.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2017 Bottle with friends. Clearish dark brown with brown head. Oak, vanilla, raisin. Wood, char, vanilla, raisin. Very dry and sucking for the ABV. An interesting experience.

Bottle, 2016 vintage that spent about a year in the back of the beer fridge. Dark brown color with a thick finger of brown head. Smells delicious with chocolate, vanilla, and sweet bourbon barrel goodness. A warming drink; sweet bourbon barrel, vanilla, and a hint of faded hops. It’s seamless... sort of like a really great imperial stout, but lighter? Really a nice beer and just right for a winter warmer.
