12 oz. can from poisoneddwarf - thanks again! Pours an opaque, deep, dark, basically black color with a finger of tan head that settles into a film and ring, leaving trailing lace in the glass. Notes of roasted malts, baker’s chocolate, cocoa powder, burnt sugars, tobacco, earth, and a bit of ash. Medium-bodied, with modest carbonation and a smooth, roasty, earthy, barely sweet mouthfeel. Nice sipping imperial stout.

Pours a very dark brown, with tan head. Aroma of malt and oatmeal. Taste is rich, deep, and smooth. This is a fine example of an imperial oatmeal stout. Thumbs up!

Draft at growler guys. Dark brown pour with a creamy tan cap. Roast and sweet aroma, a little smoke. Very creamy mouthfeel , flavor of roast and sweet oatmeal stout. Bittersweet dark chocolate. Lingering toasty flavor.

On tap at First Draft. Pitch black, with a medium, beige, creamy head. The aroma is burnt toast, sorghum, rye, molasses, and spruce. Sweet and roasted, with a sharp, almost unpleasant bitterness. Heavy body, very sticky, sharp, chewy, and thick. This is overly roasted for my tastes, and it comes off as dank or off. Still, a solid stout.

Very deep brown with a minimal tan foam. Flavor of this one is deep bitter chocolate and smoke. Body is good and the finish is dark and dry.

Pours a finger of tan head on a black body. Aroma is rich chocolate, with a licorice top, roasted malt, a little burnt blended in. Taste is a wonderful play of roasted malt, coffee, pine bitter and chocolate. Texture is super smooth. Superb.

12 ounce can poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a thick black with a khaki head of foam. Good head retention. The aroma has notes of molasses and rich toffee. Subtle smoke, and a bit of roast peak through upon sipping. Sweet yet roasty. Thick mouthfeel. Big body and medium carbonation.

Somehow I have not rated the regular version. Bomber at ABV. Pours a pitch black color with a medium beige head. Big coffee and roast aromas. Rich but very smooth, sweet coffee, some vanilla, nutty, solid dark roasted malts, anise. Good.
