Roasty Imperial Stout, a bit dry compared to expectations, and with some alcohol feeling, some light sourness from the dark malts.
Nice beer, but not very cohesive.

Nose is roast malt, light chocolate, leather, dark fruit, mollasses.
Tastes of chocolate, roast malt, liqourice, sweet dark sugars.

Opaque black color, small beige-brown head. Lots of coffee, some dark candy in the aroma. Medium to full-bodied. Coffee, salt licorice, roasted maltyness. As always, oat makes stouts smooth. This is very pleasant oatmeal stout.

Sample at the brewery taproom. This brew pours brownish-black with a medium foamy tan head that recedes slowly. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Medium to full body with flavors of burnt malt, coffee and dark chocolate. The finish is roasty with a mocha aftertaste. On tap at the brewery. Pours a deep black with a medium sized tan head. Big roast on the nose, chocolate, cocoa, coffee. Medium bodied, big chocolate, cocoa, warming booze, lots of roast. Long bitter roast into the finish, long bakers cocoa notes, chocolate bordering on the burnt side.

12 oz. can from poisoneddwarf - thanks again! Pours an opaque, deep, dark, basically black color with a finger of tan head that settles into a film and ring, leaving trailing lace in the glass. Notes of roasted malts, baker’s chocolate, cocoa powder, burnt sugars, tobacco, earth, and a bit of ash. Medium-bodied, with modest carbonation and a smooth, roasty, earthy, barely sweet mouthfeel. Nice sipping imperial stout.
