12 ounce can poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a thick black with a khaki head of foam. Good head retention. The aroma has notes of molasses and rich toffee. Subtle smoke, and a bit of roast peak through upon sipping. Sweet yet roasty. Thick mouthfeel. Big body and medium carbonation.

Somehow I have not rated the regular version. Bomber at ABV. Pours a pitch black color with a medium beige head. Big coffee and roast aromas. Rich but very smooth, sweet coffee, some vanilla, nutty, solid dark roasted malts, anise. Good.

At Ratebeer Best. Pours dark brown with a nice tan head and a treacle aroma. There is a full-bodied dark molasses flavor with some chocolate and a bitter finish.

Tap at brewery. Black with brown head. Aroma of smoke, nuts, and chocolate. Flavor is super roasty. Mild chocolate. Toasted nuts. Not very powerful. I wouldnt classify it as an imperial.

Bomber from the beer fridge; purchased last spring in Portland...Belmont Station, I believe. Ar - Rich, roasted malt and chocolate aroma with hints of coffee. Ap - Pours inky black with a large light brown head and a little bit of lacing. T - Starts with excellent roasted malt and chocolate flavors as well as a little bit of oats. P - Very slick, thick mouthfeel. Finishes very smooth with the aforementioned flavors sticking to the palate with some coffee sneaking in as well. O - excellent oatmeal...stout Will be back for more.

Draught at the brewery; 8.5% ABV
Roasty Imperial Stout, a bit dry compared to expectations, and with some alcohol feeling, some light sourness from the dark malts.
Nice beer, but not very cohesive.
