Amber color, creamy head. Very nice malt aroma, malt mash. Nice malt flavor; the bitterness is high, the hop gives just a light citrusy touch.
Don’t expect much of a West Coast style beer, just a good old IPA.

Tap at Fremont, Seattle - 08/11/12. Lightly hazed mid amber wih a thin off white head that clears to the edge and forms a small pond that retains well. Nose comprises floral hops, light pine, hints of orange. Taste is caramel malt, sweet sugars, sweet tropical fruits, sweet mango. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter sweet finish. Sweet is the theme, a little to so, decent enough and drinkable but let down by being too sweet for me!

22 oz. bottle, pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of pungent grapefruit, citrus and piney hops, with some cereal malts to balance. Flavour of very resinous hops, caramel, cereal malts and citrus. Very enjoyable.

Hazy amber with a thick head. Earthy, woody hop nose is clean with only pale malts. Grapefruity character with clean moderate bitterness. Pale malts are bready and understated. Good basic IPA.

A: The beer pours golden in color with a white head. S: Wow, moderately hoppy. Amazing. That’s not to say this beer is without the seemingly necessary pounds of caramel, toffee, and bread. A bit of citrus peel and pine are the hop aromas. T: Toffee and brown sugar with just a little bit of hop flavor. There is a touch of grass and pine, only a moderate bitterness. The flavor is not as good as the aroma, which was only barely acceptable. M: Medium bodied with just a medium carbonation. O: This one gave me some false hope, but it was another failure.

Bottle - Spicy tropical fruit hops with grapefruit and some nice malt sweetness, very complex. Pale cloudy orange with a huge foamy head, in fact the bottle 5 minutes later is stiff foaming. Kinda annoying actually. Tropical fruits definitely carry over into the taste, with a nice sweetness and a bitterness that doesn’t overwhelm. Nice medium body and surprisingly light carbonation considering what you see with the ultra foamy bottle. A very nice complex but mild IPA.
