Pours black, small to no head. Smell is medium weak. Bit roasty. Taste is sweet, roasted, bourbon, oak, boozy, very intense. Very good one, but a bit too boozy.

Very raw, roasted, strong licorice, some vanilla and roasted notes. From the middle big bourbon and burnt espresso notes. Taste is sweet al time long. Fort the ABV booze is well hidden. Nothing special here.

Inky black hue under a thin tan spotty head. Rich sumptuous aroma of boozy dark chocolate and caramelized bourbon tones and woody coconut with a kiss of vanilla. Full rich flavor of coconutty woody inky dark stoutly roasty malts with dark sweet chocolate and brown sugar and light vanilla undertones. Rich and dark and full, bourbonish and warm and inky and tastes like light adjuncts. Very delightful.

Aromas of vanilla, oak, barrel wood, toffee, chocolate, coconut, raisins, oats, roasted barley, vanilla bean, charred malts, cigar smoke, dark chocolate, tree bark, raisins, plums, campfire ash, burnt molasses, chocolate syrup, bourbon and dark malt syrup. Pours black with a thin mocha foam and no lacing. Taste dark roasted chocolate, dark malt syrup, roasted barley, tree bark, milk chocolate, sweet alcohol sugars, toffee, burnt caramel, dark wort syrup, charcoal and aged black malts upfront. Mid palate brings heavy notes of vanilla, vanilla bean, oak, barrel wood, leather, star anise, black licorice, plums, burnt raisins and figs. Finishes very dry with residual chocolate, raisins, vanilla, coconut, burnt dark fruits and plenty of bourbon. Overall, this is a real bourbon barrel stout and the oatmeal really just provides a bigger body to it. Tons of barrel qualities, dark roasted malts and vanilla. Worth seeking out. A+ rating.

Bomber, 2017 vintage. Rich chocolate malt aroma with notes of roasted malt, bourbon, vanilla, oak and a hint of booze. Pours inky black with thin mocha brown head that has good retention and excellent retention. Starts with lavish roasted and chocolate malt flavors as well as a rich, full body and silky smooth mouthfeel. Finishes impeccably smooth with excellent bourbon, vanilla and oak flavors that has just a hint of warming booze. Decadent and luxurious with a booze hidden very well. Excellent bourbon stout!

Thanks Carrigan for sharing the bottle! Poured into a wineglass showing sparse latte colored foam with thin coffee brown rims and a dark center. The nose shows light bell pepper notes permeated around a roast black coffee forwardness. The palate is medium bodied with no carbonation and a light alcoholic spice. Lightly sweet with a vanilla and bourbon forwardness throughout.
