Golden slightly hazy colour. Small white head. Fruit cocktail in the nose combined with earthy spicy notes. Same in taste. Malty sweet backbone with balancing bitterness. Moderate feeling of alc. The nose is most interesting. Taste is good average DIPA.

Pours golden with a slight haze and white head. Nice pine citrus hop aroma. Intense hop pine with citrus notes; hops really linger. Notes: on tap at the tap room, Seattle trip May ’17

Pour is a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is a real nice citrus and maybe some pineapple fruitiness. Flavor is again a nice citrus rind fruit with bitterness for days. Grapefruit and orange peel. The bitterness will pull the enamel off your teeth. No sweet malt to get in the way of the hops, this thing is tasty and a IBU assault.

12oz can much thanks to andrewje41! Pours a chill hazed dark orange color with a small frothy white head. Aroma of orange marmalade, grapefruit, citrus skins, sweet malts, and hints of pine. Taste of bitter pine, old oranges, caramel malt, aspirin, and loads of citrus pith. Aroma is the winner here

Tap from the source in Seattle. Sitting on the patio while a shower passes through. Quintessential Seattle. Golden orange hue with about a quarter finger white head. Nose is citrus...almost a citrus oil characteristic. Taste is big and assertive with aggressive citrus rind bitterness. A bit of tropical fruit. Oily mouthfeel...resin. Not a lot of sweetness or balance. Basically trying to be a hoppy imperial IPA without interest in appealing to the masses. This sister isn’t a sibling I’m very proud of...like she joined a religious cult and turned a little crazy but you still love her because she’s your sister. Look for other Fremont options.

Pours golden, with a nice white head. Aroma of hops, taste is rich and complex, with a very nice alcohol kick.. Thumbs up.

On tap at Hops & Pie. Clear golden appearance with a white head. Aroma of zesty hops, grains, tropical fruit and light citrus. Similar flavor, adding medium to heavy hop bitterness and minimal malt sweetness with a dry, lingering finish. Nice.

Aromas of orange zest, butterscotch, vanilla, tropical fruits, pineapple, tangerine, caramel, biscuit malt and resin. Pours a bright gold with a thin white foam and moderate lacing. Taste brings pleasant bitterness, fresh hops, citrus, lemon juice, pineapple, tangerine, mango, melon and butterscotch upfront. Mid palate offers more herbs, pines, resin, hop oils, earth, leaf and tree sap notes. Finishes harshly bitter with residual hop oils and a great caramel, light malt extract, bready malt base. Overall, a very solid IPA worth seeking out.

Can from CraftShack. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is very hoppy. Very complicated - tropicals, citrus, floral and more. Med + body. Flavor is earthy/malty with tropical, citrus, floral hops and more. Not wholly dry, and it seems somewhat astringent. A very different IPA, but it satisfies my hop addiction. Might be a hint of heat managing to fight its way through the hops. It’s not at all harsh.

Gerbeer (3745) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 19, 2017
12 oz can. Pours a clear amber with lightish head. Aromas of pine, grapefruit, candied fruit and resin. Flavors of tropical fruit, rubber, spicy resin, pine and sweet malts. Very nice
