It’s a good drinking beer but there’s not very much character to it, either in aroma or flavor. drjay44 (3709) - Salida, Colorado, USA - JUN 27, 2015
651 ml. bottle. Bottled 11/17/14. Pours a medium, well retained, tiny bubbled off white head, with moderate lacing, over a clear, gold (SRM 6) body.....nose is toasted malts, with hints of biscuit, light pine, citrus from the hops, no esters, balanced.....taste is mild toasted malts, bread, light pine, slight citrus notes, no esters, balanced....mouth feel, medium body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation. This is a clean, crisp, easy drinking beer. Unfortunately both the hops and malts are a bit muted, with the hop backbone being especially quiet. This is most probably due to the age of the bottle, but perhaps the hop selection. American Pale Ales are supposed to be hop dominated, and this one is not. [3/2/15] Draught at Fremont Brewing in Seattle. Golden. Mild aroma of citric hops. Rather dry flavor with citric hops and mild bitterness. Medium-bodied. Refreshing. ajnepple (6606) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 14, 2015
12 oz single can from Mile High Wine & Spirits. Hazy light orange appearance with a sticky white head. Aroma of citrus hops, pale malts, light bead, floral notes, light spice and light tropical fruits. Similar flavor, moderately hoppy and lightly zesty with light malt sweetness. Smooth and easy to drink, solid APA. NachlamSie (3481) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 5, 2015
Can from Mile High. The body on this is a light amber with some hop haze and a really tall, explosive, rocky white head. The aroma is grassy with supporting notes of orange and lime. Palate is fizzy and has a reasonable, sugary malt body. It’s very appropriate for the style. Hops are the first thing noticed in the flavor with hints at lawn clippings, lemon and orange. Finish is bittersweet and just a touch metallic. This is not a bad pale ale by any stretch, but it’s my least favorite Fremont beer so far. It seems like they have a really strong catalog. Sampler pack from a dude from the brewery, supposedly.. . Biscuit, hay, mild centennial, and dry grass .. Easy mouth, dry finish for a pale .. Good pale, but I liked the 77 so much better. .. . Betty white once ate a pot brownie and banged a tree stump. JohnnyJ (5562) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 27, 2015
On draft at the brewery. Golden pour, with a slight haze. Crisp and citrusy, crackers, grapefruit, and some mild caramel. Easy drinking, pretty nice pale ale.
