This is a very tasty beer with flavors of cinnamon, coconut, oak, vanilla, and caramel. Sweet, but incredibly good. Smurf2055 (1400) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 8, 2013
This beer was aged in Dry Fly Barrels (instead of Heaven Hills) and aged in the keg with vanilla beans. On tap at 2013 Brouwer’s Big Wood (and voted the festival winner)
Pours dark, minimal tan head.
Smell burnt sugar, vanilla
Taste very oaky, bit of vanilla, creamy and bits of coconut and whisky.
Very well balanced, lighter bodied than regular b-bomb
This beer reminds me a lot of Southern Tier Creme Brule, but without being overpoweringly sweet, and obviously with barrel presence. Very good. bvc (1242) - Washington, USA - DEC 6, 2013
Draft at big wood. Black pour, thin creamy tan head. Deep rich nose with vanilla bean, sweet wheated bourbon, coconut, marshmallow, but of caramel apple...rich and deep all around. Rich dark malted apple, vanilla, fig, caramel, rich mix of roasty/bourbon finish. Really rich and good. mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 6, 2013
On tap at Brouwer’s Cafe for Big Wood 2013, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out loads of whiskey and vanilla upfront, and quite a boozy tone to it. Flavour is like liquid vanilla, more so than regular B-Bomb, with lush vanilla dominating everything, followed by bourbon, whiskey, and a bit of chocolate. Definitely a vanilla bomb. Expertly crafted. Delicious. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 5, 2013
On tap at Brouwer’s Big Wood 2013. Black pour. Loads and loads of vanilla in here, readily apparent in both the aroma and flavor. There’s a delicious blend of flavors in this brew -- the bourbon note is mild and understated. Vanilla dominates the chocolate and oak, with a bit of toasted marshmallow, too. It somehow manages to stay relatively light, making it quite drinkable -- I’d have pour after pour of this. Delicious stuff.

On tap at Brouwer’s Big Wood 2011. Deep dark pour, next to no head. Bourbon, some vanilla, and tons of dark, syrupy malts on the nose. This really skirts the edge of being a bit too much – brings in some of the flavors of angel’s share… fruit under lots of malt, with quite a bit of alcohol. The booze really comes through, and I’m not sure I’m digging that.
SBW Last Call 2010. Barrel aged Abominable with vanilla beans. Clear brown color/ fleeting head. Awesome vanilla bean, whiskey, chocolate malt aromas. Smooth soft medium body. Very good vanilla, chocolate sweet flavors with wet wood, whiskey, mild spice. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JUN 9, 2010
Last Call - Seattle Beer Week 2010
Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head. Big bourbon aroma and lots of roasty malt in the flavor. Lots of fruit and warming qualities with smooth mellow finish. This was a terrific beer. The bourbon was strong along with the beer. This was one big beast of a beer. Too much and you will be kissing pavement. Big big beer.
