Bottle. This porter smells and tastes a littel sour and the body is a bit thin for my liking. That said its not bad a a great deal.

Had on tap at the brewery. Just an average porter to me. Pours a dark, somewhat transparent brown. Thin to no head. Carbonation and mouthfeel both medium- about right for a porter. Coffee, earthy, chocolate notes all present. Some hoppinness but a bit of a strange finish sort of off-balanced. Just a bit bland for me.

Pours with a nice tight head with good caramel and slight coffee aroma. Good mouthfeel but taste is a bit metallic on the finish.

Beachmaster (546) - Oklahoma, USA - MAR 2, 2014
Bomber into a pint glass. Pours a deep black, with a medium tan head that fades fairly quickly, with moderate lacing. Nose is coffee and dark malt. Taste follows the nose. Mouthfeel is a little on the thin side, with a medium length finish. Pleasant, but not exceptional.

Strykzone (7307) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - FEB 19, 2014
Bomber bought at the brewery during a RBWG visit. A good amount of red in this very dark beer. A steady two finger beige head very slowly falls. This smells of coffee with lesser chocolate and earth. That earth leads the flavor profile with chocolate that is both milk and bakers varieties behind that. The beer tastes dry but has a sweet aftertaste from that chocolate. Coffee in the finish. The feel is medium plus. A solid English porter.

Sledutah (7491) - Utah, USA - FEB 17, 2014
On tap at the brewery during a rbwg stop
Black with a small tan head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and nutty. Flavors of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate
Thin, but easy to drinking and tasty

icehawk (834) - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, USA - JAN 27, 2014
Bottle. Pours a pitch black with brown head. Aroma of chocolate, hint of coffee. Smooth, medium mouthfeel. Solid, not exceptionally complex.

vyvvy (6396) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - JAN 22, 2014
Pours reddish brown with a tan bubbly head. The aroma has cocoa, cream, chocolate malt, caramel, butterscotch and a hint of vanilla. It has a medium / light body with a light amount of semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with a bit of a watered flavor of the aroma. It is sharper and drier and has a dark chocolate note. The finish shows some mineral notes. Good porter.

jandd1983 (4276) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JAN 18, 2014
It poured a dark brown color with no head. The aroma was malty, with hints of cocoa, toffee and coffee. The taste was of soy sauce, toffee, chocolate and some hops. A very good porter.

Bomber->tumbler. Pours near black with small offwhite head. Aroma and taste have roasted malt, chocolate, wood. Bittersweet aftertaste. A little off-balanced.
