I got this porter in a recent trade but can’t remember for the life of me who sent it, thanks to whoever you are. Dark black color, boring smell that only briefly suggested malts. The flavor however was malt heavy, robust, not bad at all but I am a huge sucker for any porter. Overall I would not purchase this beer but I was happy to have had the opportunity to try it.

Bomber. Deep brown body. Frothy, beige head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Tartness in finish. Taste of coffee and roasted malts along with cardboard. Lingering bitterness and a lingering off-taste of soy sauce. Lots of better porters out there. Palidor19 (3188) - Brandon, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2012
the flavor is kinda of mellow and a little bit fruity for a beer of this style. its kinda of thin with a low carbonated head.its kinda a lovely beer. nick76 (4399) - Tampa, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2012
The aroma is very toasted with coffee, chocolate, earth, and grassy hops. The appearance is dark brown with a small head. The taste is like the aroma but with a metallic astringency. The palate is smooth. Overall a decent beer. RedMel (3) - Suwanee, Georgia, USA - AUG 20, 2012 does not count
The aroma reveals the presence of roasted coffee and dark chocolate.
Dark colored, nearly black with light lacing.
Predominantly dark chocolate and coffee flavor.
Flavor was not heavy and it seemed to disappear from the palate rather quickly.
Overall, a drinkable beer, but not one that made me want to go out of my way to buy another. I would try this beer again if given the opportunity.

bomber from gbx for $5.29 on 7/15/11.
orange/yellow tinted porter brown with a short lived beige head.
the nose is loaded with chocolate, caramel and roast with lesser notes of a cherry like fruitiness and a woody nuttiness.
the flavor is the same... choco, caramel, roast and a slight touch of bitterness and sourness on the finish. there’s a faint bit of coffee-like nuttiness in the aftertaste.
thin bodied and sharply carbonated but it is quite refreshing and it hits the spot . 7/3/7/3/15 Shag (3001) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - JUL 18, 2012
Pitch black with a beige head. Aroma contains a good dose of coffee and chocolate. The flavor has an espresso like characer with some dark chocolate and licorice. This is very bitter and delicious. Holy crap is this amazing. The finish is like eating dark chocolate covered coffee beans then comes the milk. Im floored by how good this is. Draft at the source. Aroma of prunes, raisins, coffee. Taste is smooth coffee, milk chocolate with a burnt toast edge. DiarmaidBHK (4907) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 9, 2012
Draft at tap room. Pours black with a thin khaki head that leaves a smidgen of lacing. Prominennt roasts malt notes on the nose that remind me of coffee and chocolate. Kind of thin mouthfeel. Lots of roasted malt on the tongue as well. Dry almost astringent on the Finish. Solid example of style.
