A kolsch is never going to score very high in this system. The aroma is not much to speak of. Very crisp clean taste. Pours golden with an inch of foam and a great deal of effervescence. Fantastic summer beer. jtd6628 (362) - North Carolina, USA - AUG 21, 2011

bottle, from Beer Dispensary in Apex. consumed 06-13-11. good aroma, bitter. grassy, sourdough, little sugar streak about it. Tad hazed golden yellow. Good head, minor lace. bitter sweet flavor. Light body, creamy smooth mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Nice, very drinkable, Like the aroma best, maybe a tad sweet for the style, but a nice lawn mower beer. Another on my list that I’m surprised I didn’t have notes on as I drank alot of this last year when it was on tap at Tyler’s Apex. oh well, Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - JUL 24, 2011

Draught at Tupelo Honey, Asheville. Light fruity body. Refreshing and crisp. Not bad at all. Session beer. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - JUN 11, 2011
A: The beer pours a pale golden straw color with a huge, rocky, white head.
S: Quite a strange smell for a kolsch. Lemon zest and apple juice are prominent. It’s got a slight champagne character (likely from the high carbonation and yeastiness). Moderate bread notes and some floral hops.
T: Light bread and cracker malts provide much of the flavor. More lemon zest along with some floral and earthy hops. Just a light bitterness to it. The carbonation is extremely high, which diminishes from the flavor intensity a bit.
M: Light in body with very high carbonation.
O: Despite not being terribly "kolsch-like", I thought this was a pretty decent beer. mixmasterob (1057) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 21, 2011
Infected bottle, no doubt. Aroma was funky yeast, almost gueuze like. Light sour. Flavors were musty, light puckering sourness, very dry. Obviously not the intended beer here. Might not be bad if intended. I just wasn’t in the mood for this one. illinismitty (2271) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 24, 2010
Draft at Flying Saucer. Pours golden with a white head. Nice lager ester aroma. Light bodied with average carbonation. Compared to other examples of the style, this had a tad more grain flavor to it, which was interesting. I did not have my notepad, so sorry I can not give more details Lubiere (13905) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 1, 2010
A golden kolsch with a thick creamy lacing white head. Aroma of berries, light butterscotch, a light and smooth kolsch, with light chalk and sweet malt. Light bodied. On tap at Great North Carolina Brewers Fest., August 28 2010.
