Draft taster at the brewery during RBWG. Pours a dark brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, chocolate with a hint of coffee and some earthy bitterness to the finish. On draught at the Isis, this pours an oily black, opaque with mahogany fringes. The thinning choco head leaves light lacing. The nose is of roasted cocoa. Lots of roasted malt with ample bitter balancing, the chocolate shows up in the essence of the finish. A bit on the drier side, it is bold and active on the palate. Taster at the brewery- thanks again! Pours a deep opaque brown with a finger of tan head that laces the glass. Notes of chocolate, roasted and toasted malts, and tobacco. The cocoa nibs are very smooth and well-balanced by roast and earthy notes. On tap at the brewery. Pours black with a thick brown head. Nose is biscuity, rich black chocolates, breads, crackers, dark coffee, and various stone fruits. Flavor is sweet chocolates, coffees, crackers, breads, rich malts, light toffee. medium full body and low bitterness but finished medium lightly sweet. Seems really well done to me.

Draft from sampler during the RBWG bus tour. Poured a deep dark brown with a long lasting dense beige head. Aroma is roasty, notes of chocolate, vanilla bean, chocolate milk, freeze dried coffee. Average palate and carbonation. Flavor is similar to the aroma but each individual flavor is more prominent and easier to pick out. Nice stuff. Taster on tap at Barley’s during RBWG. Very nice chocolate flavors here. Light earthy hop. Medium to bigger body. Lighter, lightly soft carbonation. More dry finish. Good moderate bitter taste. Light bitter sweet. Black color. Thin light brown head. Some ropes of lace. Good cocoa stout.
