Bottle. Chocolate/molasses malt and hay aroma. Clear chestnut color with nice head. Mildly sweet chocolate malt, lightly smokey wood, and mildly bitter herbal hops flavor. Pretty complex for a dunkel. An excellent dunkel. Mowbeer (3831) - Pilsen, CZECH REPUBLIC - SEP 20, 2012

Bottle, picked up at landbierparadies . Stood out from a crowd of dunkels - very dunkel indeed with a beige head; aroma of caramel sticks; some rusty and faintly smoky tea flavours with an earl grey finish jaghana (6363) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - MAR 6, 2011
Bottle 50cl from Quack-Duck thanks a lot. A nice clear amber-brown beer with low head. Nose is on caramel malt. Aroma is sweet, rich in dark flavors, caramel, brown bread, dark bitter chocolate, creamy, cereal like, one of the best dunkel I had. Nice fruity finish on dry grapes, molasses, brown candy sugar, grain, really pleasant, thanks Stephan. Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - OCT 22, 2012
It’s dark mahogany red with a creamy, lasting head. The aroma has notes of caramel, dark syrup, light licorice and nuts. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, caramel, a touch of licorice, dark syrup, nut, light fruit and the finish is dry and slightly roasted bitter.

Dark reddish brown color. Big beige head, that leaves nice lacing. Lively carbonation. Aroma is sweetish with malty caramel notes. Taste is swetish too with notes of caramel, bread and roasted malts. Some slightly bitter herbal notes in the finish. Well balanced and very delicious dunkel. (0,5 l bottle, best before 19.2.2014.) Kristall-König (2820) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - JUL 4, 2011
Malziger und opulent schokoladiger Geruch. Antrunk kräftig malzröstig. Intensiv röstige, würzmalzige Mitte, welche an geröstete Erdnüsse erinnert. Dunkelmalzig und schokoladig-würziger Ausklang.
Sehr gutes Dunkles.Test vom 18.1.2011, Gebinde: Glasflasche Leighton (22812) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 11, 2015
Bottle shared on the train from Sulzbach Rosenberg to Nuremberg during the Bamberg Jolly. Pours clear, rich gold with a foamy, off-white head. The beer’s characteristics include toasted dough, light butterscotch, some toffee, faint alcohol. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and creamy texture. Moderately sweet to finish with touches of brown sugar, bread and toffee. A rather enjoyable dunkel. Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - JAN 25, 2011
Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of Quack-Duck. It pours a clear copper brown beer with a nicely remaining creamy light beige head. Caramel, moss, raisin, candy floss, lavender honey, tobacco, dried apple and lovage showing up in the nose which is malt accented. The taste is surprisingly sweet. Medium bodied. Luscious malt presence. Perfectly balanced. A lot of caramel, asparagus and candy components. Late bitterness. Beautiful lacework. Delicate carbonation. Faintly smoky. Good hop profile. Surprisingly chocolatey finish which is dry, reminiscent of chocolate powder and papaya. I prefer the taste over the nose. Definitely a delicious Dunkel. Top notch. I am impressed. Thanks a lot Quack-Duck! Cuso (8950) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - JAN 29, 2011
