(on tap, in early September) Brass-coloured beer, hazy, with a creamy off-white head. The oak barrel that was used has clearly contributed to the aroma profile. There’s wood, dried tobacco leaves, a hint of smoke. At the same time also a slight buttery note. Light to medium bitterness, no sweetness. Very low carbonation (it’s a Zwickel after all!). It took a minute, but then grew on me. Full of character, good.
