500ml Flasche. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch angenehm rauchig, malzig, Karamell. Geschmack leicht rauchig, röstmalzig, würzig.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass brownish, nice head. Starts intense malty, some earthy notes. Mild smokey, not too dry. Light sourish background. Finish well balanced, malty-smokey aftertaste. A good one!

4.9%. On tap at the brewery. Dark brown almost black beer lasting cream head. A smoked schwarz beer. Tasty and went well with my bratwurst.

meerbier (1474) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - NOV 8, 2012
[email protected] Strong but not too overwhelming smoked aroma. Brown, beige/yellowish head, fair lace. Sweetish, light bitter, smoked. Flavourful and balanced.

brugmanneke (286) - GERMANY - OCT 16, 2012
(50 cl swingtop bottle) Dark reddish brown colour, slightly hazy, with an off-white creamy head that disappears completely. Aroma of dried fruits/prunes, dark chocolate, rye bread, smoked malts. Initial light bitterness becomes more pronounced toward the end, while the sweetness becomes less apparent. Light to medium body, fells like a good Schwarzbier. Clearly a Rauchbier, but not too meaty. Pleasant bitter-smoky aftertaste. Quite well-balanced and enjoyable!

blipp (9502) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 5, 2012
Draft. Pours amber brown with an off white head. Rich smoked malts, light sweetness, and toasted bread. There’s a very light fruity sweetness as well. Very drinkable, and really damn good. Not quite on the level of Schlenkerla but still awesome.

At the brewery tap, Kreuzberg 16 July 2012. Hazy and medium brown in colour, with a decent, off-white head. Light smoke, some caramel sweetness, a touch of bacon in the lingering finish. Good.
