2.1
Dedollewaitor (16056) - Odense, - JUL 21, 2013
Bottle @ Oberphalz. Pours greyish amber with a large white head. Mild tartness, bread, sugar and grain. Thin and weak.

MartinT (9795) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 20, 2017
My Bottom Line:
Rye-like spiciness adorns this Dunkel’s slick caramel malts, as mild fruity acidity meets delicate herbal hop bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the shiny dark amber.
-The nose is deeper than the flavour profile, methinks.
-The soft effervescence from the bottle lets the malts express themselves properly.
-Drinkability is optimal, yet I would go back for their Zoiglbier if I were in the mood for a lager here.

Bottle.

harrisoni (18436) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 13, 2017
Bottle at the brewery. Came with tiny Paulaner glasses. Then a proper jug. Clear mid brown beer lasting off white head. malty spicy beer. A little less mouthfeel but the malts are strong and lasts. Spicy finish almost like rye malt. Some speciality malt in there somewhere. Clean. Least good for me. Very malty interesting malts.

jaghana (6015) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - APR 20, 2015
Bottle 50cl, traded with Quack-Duck thanks. A copper beer with low head. Nose is grainy, aroma is on nuts, almond and grains, wet paper touch, grassy hops, light body, light caramel, bit boring.

Kristall-König (2820) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAR 7, 2015
Geruch malzig, brotig, herb. Start dunkel, malzig, brotig. Mitte malzig, würzig, leicht aromatisch. Würziger Ausklang. Recht gut.

Erzengel (8622) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - FEB 10, 2015
* Sehr schönes karamellig-schokoladis Dunkel. Röstmalz, mild und weich. Schokoladiger-intensiver als das "Schwarzkittel", rund mit angenehm herber Note im Nachgeschmack. Lecker.

3fourths (9331) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 13, 2014
UPDATED: AUG 14, 2014 From bottle best by December 2014.
Medium-dark amber, hazy with a short, quickly-dying off-white head. Foul nose of dirty fruit (apple, pear, generic tropical flavoring), acetic apple cider vinegar... starchy rough mouth feel, acidic and yeasty (mud, paint, sweettarts), dry, pasty finish. Best strategy here is to re-bottle as a "Zoigl Sour Ale" and sell to the geeks for $15.

McTapps (6856) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - APR 28, 2014
Pours out of the bottle in a deep dark brown colour with low steady head and medium body. Aroma of wheat and bread. Taste of malt, dark whole grain bread, barley, nuts, straw and caramel. Earthy finish. Easy drinkable and quite nice and solid.

3.4
MichaelAwesome (6516) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - APR 28, 2014
