COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
15,5°Plato, 62 IBU, 5,8 Vol. % Alkohol

hobsch (505) - Cologne, GERMANY - JAN 25, 2014
Bottle 0.33l. Pours hazy deep orange with minimal head. Aroma has resin, citrus, malt. Taste is light sweet, medium to very bitter, citrus, grapefruit. Aftertaste is quite bitter. Bit watery. Overall a good IPA.

Amber coloured, full, slightly tanned head which remained very stable. at first very clear, later a bit hazy. The smell was very fruity (citurs, mango, strawberries) with hints of sweetness and honey. Strong bitterness but fruity-resiny with a hoppy aftertaste. Medium carbonation and full body.

200ml Sample at Bierkultur Festival in Köln-Ehrenfeld. Appearance is opaque, orangish-amber color with lots of foamy, off-white head. Aroma is intense with bitter grapefruit and orange peel as well as bready malts and caramel. Taste is similar with the grapefruit bite prevailing, along with mango, bread maltiness, and pine. Palate is medium-bodied, very smooth, average carbonation, and a long, dry finish.

SirRepsol (158) - Cologne, GERMANY - DEC 24, 2012
from bottle. pours a deep amber colour with a small frothy head that quickly disappears. wonderful and intense aroma of red berries, tropical fruits and citrus. best IPA aroma I have ever experienced so far. medium body, fizzy carbonation and thin texture. mainly pink grapefruit and citrus flavours, some pine notes in the background. long lasting bitter and dry aftertaste. a refreshing and fantastically balanced IPA from Fritz!

FriarHop (139) - Long Beach, New York, USA - APR 24, 2013
Thin standard head and copper in color, musty in aroma. Malts and hops collide and overwhelms the palate in an off putting way. Drinkable but not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Berlin Bier Shop. In my opinion: One of the best IPA-style beers in Germany at the time. I smell a lot of american hops - aroma of grapefruit and mango. Bitter, but not too much. Flavorful, but not too much. I want more...

Houba (2) - Hamburg, GERMANY - JUL 27, 2011 does not count
Germany, for all its beery virtues, is not exactly IPA central. This beer shows, however, that it’s not physically impossible to brew a very good specimen of the style in the country. Definitely one to watch!
