Cask, ’The Joy of Six’ Merchantfest ’08, Rugby. Swigs of Octo’s, to be precise. Yeah, barnyard, mouldering fruit and dessicated frog. Ruby with rapidly diminishing head. Intriguing interplay of beansprout/mushroom earthiness and (strawberryish) hop fruit way back in the mix. A hint of roast, maybe chocolate. ’Interesting’. chimplechamp (601) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 10, 2007
cask troon beerfest- pours deep ruby with a foamy sudsy head. smells really fruity, barnyard, and a faint quaff of alcohol. buttery taste. hoppy nice full body, with a sweetness at the end. some complexity to it. cgarvieuk (24515) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 12, 2007
Cask at Troon Beer festival ... Deep brown ... nice lively fruit nose ... ok fruity malt little chocolate and blackcurrent. Otje (678) - Veendam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 16, 2007
Rough beer, but i quite liked it. Smells like green apples, pear, caramelish and a touch of mango. Tastes completely different, lots of bitterness(off course with all those fruity flavours), bit musty and then caramel and some of those fruits. Long bitter finish ending in a varnish like alcohol kick. Thanks maeib! imdownthepub (14555) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2006
Bottle conditioned, 500ml. Red brown beer with slight head. Particularly malty, thickish beer with dark roasted notes. Some sweetish fruitiness with an astringent background. I found it to be quite a boring beer with few highlights.

Bottle conditioned. Dark chestnut coloured with a slim cream head. Nice malty, nutty and fruity aroma with some light chocolate notes. Flavours are roast malts, chocolate, nuts and some coffee with a nice bitter and dry finish. Medium bodied, low carbonation. A nice well balanced ale. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2006
Cask gravity at Rare Breeds BF 06. Deep chestnut with rich fruit aroma. This lasts into the mouth with some choc, some coffee. OK for it’s strength. Good malty fruit of red berry and raisin. anders37 (26641) - Malmö, SWEDEN - APR 10, 2006
