4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is my personal favorite beer to drink and I’m lucky enough to live close to Front St. Its like a comfy pair of shoes that fit just right. Love this beer!
Hazy burnt orange pour with a two finger, creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, cereal, grassy, floral, spicy. Flavor is sweet citrus, herbal, grassy, wildflower and light vegetal notes. Medium body, syrupy to slick feel, light carbonation, decent amount of hot booziness. Meh csaso (2361) - Missouri, USA - SEP 19, 2016
Tap - average size foamy head, light copper color, moderate earthy hop aroma and favor, balanced well with cereal like malts, fairly smooth finish, pretty good overall

On draft at the brewery. Nice looking golden beer. Pine and citrus aromas and flavors. Seems to be a classic American pale ale. A rich feel from a heavy malt bill. A recipe that has stood the test of time wlajwl (7198) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JUN 21, 2016
Aroma is a strong mix of pine and citrus. The flavor is citrus, fruit, grapefruit, slightly medicinal and a tart/bitter finish. ajnepple (7337) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - MAY 28, 2015
On tap at the brewery. Clear golden appearance with active carbonation and a lacy white head. Fresh aroma of citrus hops, grassy notes, tropical fruits and a touch of resin. Similar flavor, adding a moderate zesty bitterness over a medium body. Solid pale ale, seems more like an American style than English, though.

On tap at FSB in Davenport. Pour is golden yellow with a big frothy white head; Aroma is piney and floral hops and the same on the taste. A nice bitterness to it. A very appropriate medium palate and fairly lovely carbonation. Very good effort and a special beer for me since I lived through the Flood of ’93. rondphoto (4508) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JUN 17, 2014
on tap @ Front Street Brewery / Davenport IA --- Clear medium amber, thick rim head, strands of lace. Taste is caramel malt that grows sweeter through the palate before bringing in light hops for a balanced finish. A refreshing, simple, easy-drinking brew. On tap poured into a 4 oz sampler glass. The aromas are pretty suppressed, with notes of caramel and sweet citrus. It pours a clear, light amber color with a white head. A medium ring is retained with a wispy, speckled surface and a light, scattered lace. The taste is nicely balanced between a medium high bitter and a medium sweet. An oily texture is accompanied by a soft carbonation and a medium body. A citrus and citrus rind finish the beer off with a pine like quality to it. It’s dry and resinous and crisp. The aftertaste is above average in strength and lingering with a bread character poking through as well. keepersj12 (3142) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - MAR 26, 2014
Pours amber with a thin lacing head. The aroma is malty sweet with some caramel. The flavor has a very nice balance with the malt up front and the hops on the back of the swallow. My favorite of the beers I has here. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - JAN 24, 2013
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy, golden-copper colored body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is floral hops with touches of citrus pines and a lightly sweetened, somewhat bready caramel malt backing. Flavor is similar. Clean, lightly sweetened caramels with a touch of bread and a moderate citrus floral hopping. Finishes dry with a bit of a pine note that leaves a medium-light bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium-light body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent EPA. Nothing special, but easy drinking and enjoyable enough. Not bad.
