33cl bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 17-10-2017.
BBD: 07-08-2022.
In short: roasty bitter barley wine.
Did I enjoy it: yes.
Pours hazy dark amber-copper with nice off white-light tan head. Moderate head retention, little lacing. Roasty, bready, licorice, raisins nose. Medium body, average carbonation, slick texure. Taste is roasty, almost smked flavours, driued fruits, raisins, plums, licorice, with a roasty and bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is caramel malt, toffee, raisins, candied/dried fruits, pear, some molasses, soft roast, marzipan, bit syrupy with a touch of liquor and chocolate. Flavour is sweet with a hoppy bitterness in the finish. Body is full. Pleasant and fairly rich Barley Wine.

Bottle, pours cloudy tea color with fast falling ivory colored head. Aroma of candy, brown sugar, dried fruits, pear, marzipan and unfortunately a lot of alcohol. In taste high candy sweetness with a bitter finish. Very boozy but with high ageing potential.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear amber to brown with a small yellowish off-white head and an aroma of bourbon, ripe fruits, dried plums, toffee, raisin and red grapes. The taste is full on sweet with a full body, medium carbonation and a long lasting medium sweet and medium to heavy bitter finish. Not your everyday barley wine, but really nice

Drank with Bram 03-05-17. Sweet, kinda thick body. A bit heavy on the alcohol taste.

EvNa (455) - Ede, NETHERLANDS - APR 18, 2017
Bottle. Color: Ruby to copper, small beige head. Taste: Nice, bit complex fruity mix of medium sweet and medium bitter notes. Raisins. Warming mouthfeel from the alcohol. Medium to full body. Soft carbonation. Very nice beer for some slow sipping on a relaxing evening.
