Bottle. Color: Ruby to copper, small beige head. Taste: Nice, bit complex fruity mix of medium sweet and medium bitter notes. Raisins. Warming mouthfeel from the alcohol. Medium to full body. Soft carbonation. Very nice beer for some slow sipping on a relaxing evening.

Bottle from het Biermoment, batchnr 2016017A BB 03/11/2021, 33 cl sample. Hazy copper to dark brown color, short frothy head. Aroma of orange marmalade, some treacle and molasses, slight paint thinner. Quite a lot of treacle sweetness, some toasted and caramel malts, orange marmelade. Quite enjoyable.

IrishBoy (4211) - Bakersfield, California, USA - APR 13, 2017
12 oz bottle shared by my friend Ryan that he brought from the Netherlands. Nose is bubblegum, toffee, and golden raisins. Clear rusty brown with a small beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet with white peppery notes and lots of bubblegum.

DijkBier (445) - AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - APR 8, 2017
Bottle pours dark orange to brown, with small tan head that pulls back completely. Aroma is delicious; spicy, sweet, honey & caramel & banana, red fruits, dried fruits, raisin. Taste is fully sweet, caramel & banana; heavy, sticky, alcoholic. This is the guilty pleasure type of beer: actually a little too sweet, but delicious still.

In aroma veel ’ale’ en weinig ’barley wine’. In de smaak zijn de rollen omdraaid. Fijne barley wine, maar niks spectaculairs of nieuws onder de zon. Vrij zoet qua smaak.

Svesse (8613) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - APR 4, 2017
(Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 25 Feb 2017) Dark amber colour with dense, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, dried fruit, red berries and cherries. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, raisins, caramel, candy sugar, cherries in brandy and a vinous, warming finish with a mild bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. Powerful, and possibly a touch too sweet, but quite tasty and warming. Nice one.

PeatyPete (1090) - NETHERLANDS - APR 2, 2017
Dark amber color with off-white head. Aroma of candy sugar and a bit yeasty. Taste of sweet dried fruit, caramel and some wood. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
