Pours a light tan three-finger head that fades very slowly leaving a good lace. Cloudy brown/amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. (22 oz. bottle from Bootleggers) Pours dark tea brown, appears mostly clear. Brown highlights. A few fingers of tan head. Aroma of chocolate and a bit of brown sugar. Light-medium mouthfeel with a touch of prickliness. Flavor of chocolate - milk, cocoa and somewhat licoricey-bitter. Also some brown sugar and light caramel thrown in. Mild bitter pinch in finish. Pours deep clear amber into a Sam glass. Off-white head recedes to hug rim. Sweet dark caramel aromas. Thin with sour chocolate and caramel upfront and a lightly hopped charcoal finish.
