This and the choco-stout were my two favorites. This is a really good brown ale. Always have limited expectations when it comes to this style and for most breweries it seems like a copout. A beer lacking identity. Seems that Braden has given Brown Ale an identity at Frothy Beard. Pours the perfect color for it’s name- deep and rich. Not much head to it. Medium mouthfeel- refreshing and not too heavy- perfect for this climate. Decently balanced- not the overly sweet version with a complete lack of hops one often finds. Really well done- may expectaions for brown ales are no longer non existent.
