50cl can from Galeria Kaufhof Alexanderplatz. Pours clear pale golden with a small white head. Mild malty aroma with hints of fruits and hops. Sweet with mild fruity and malty flavour and a fairly dry finish with a mild and pleasant bitterness. Not the most flavourful beer, but fairly well balanced and very easy to drink. Would imagine this could be nice outside on a hot summer day fresh from tap somewhere in Germany. Probably should try that some time... Wanja (771) - GERMANY - MAR 5, 2013
0.5 l bottle... Clear color, head okay... Mild aroma, refreshing Kölsch flavor. One of the best Kölsch beers... canary dog (766) - Rutland, Vermont, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Dark amber pour. Very little head. Slightly lacking in carbonation, which is expected for this style. Crisp, hop body, with a slight malt backbone. Tastes like a good fresh pilsner. This is a good beer, and I would enjoy drinking it in the summer. zomba (212) - Nokia, FINLAND - FEB 28, 2013

Bottle courtesy of Kermis. Poured a clear light yellow with a thin white head. The aroma is malty leading to a medium to strong bitter flavour with lots of malt on the palate. Quite drinkable on a hot summer day. booldawg (70) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2013
Someone at work makes a trip to Germany a couple of times a year. Everytime he goes he’s asks me what crate of beer I want picked up. Each time the answer is ’Fruh Kolsch’. I’ve tried the Bitburger, Dortmunder, Warsteiner etc. I know the aforementioned are lagers but this is an ale that wants to be a lager and makes a damn good job of it.
Clean palate, crisp; has the depth of Dortmunder but without the ’syrupy’ feel. Easily a firm favourite of mine. BeerViking (4712) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2013
Bottle bought in Germany, light gold with a fast-settling white head, faint aromas of honey, green apple and beeswax, light malty body with touches of golden fruit, honey, bread and grassy hops, lightly peppery hop-bitter finish. Pretty decent - a Kölsch that isn’t pretending to be Pilsner. Beerbarella (348) - - FEB 11, 2013
330 ml bottle. Slightly spicy Kölsch aroma. Spicy bitter taste, a bit of a bitter palate. For a kölsch it’s alright. beeracoon (511) - - FEB 11, 2013
Clear golden colour, small white head. Spicy and hoppy aroma. Sparkling, refreshing taste. Extremely bitter aftertaste. Good for a Kölsch.
