3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20

500ml Bottle at the porterhouse templebar. Clear pale yellow color with a white head. The flavor is a litlle metallic. Not much aroma. Unimpressive for me.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can of 500 ml, bought on a recent excursion to Germany. At first I thought Kolsch was also part of the beers name, now I see it’s a style of beer. Poured in a sort of Kolsch type of glass.
Three fingers of white, thick head, with very good retention but not much lacing left behind. At first great activity in the glass, stops almost as soon as the head disappears. Golden yellow in colour.
Pleasant aroma of hops, mixed with a malty smell, albeit faint.
Sweet and malty flavour at first, turns into a slighty bitter and hoppy aftertaste.
Thin on the body, low carbonation and dry on the palate.
It’s the first time I drink this style, and I didn’t find it much different than a lager, also, since it’s the first time, I don’t have anything to compare it to. Drinkability was high, and it was going down very easily.

On tap at a pub near the war monument in Berlin. Served in a 2 dl straight Früh glass. Clear golden with an inch thick white head. Perfume and light malts on the nose. Wooden notes too. Medium body. Light syrupy texture. Sweet, malty, fruity and wooden flavors with a long bitter finish.

Bottle bought at Vika, enjoyed at home
Pale golden, big white head. Smells of grass and dust, some malts. Light sweet, quite fruity, some grain flavor in the back. Light bitter finish. Quite refreshing beer and a real thist killer

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pale gold colour, little head. Faint biscuity aroma. The taste is rather sweet and biscuity. There is something else there too, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. The palate is is crisp with light carbonation. A nice drink for the summer. You can tell this is not a lager it has some ale tones deep down, maybe its the yeast.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.8%. Extremely pale yellow colour, pours very fizzy with a coarse white head. Strong sweetish fruity and grassy aroma. The flavour is fresh and slightly fruity with a peppery hint. Decent hops in the aftertaste.
