Clear, light yellow body with a golden hue and an average to large, white head that lasts for some time and leaves some lacing. Faint and boring sweet aroma with pale malts, cereal, lemon and other vague fruity notes. Moderate sweet taste with some light acidity and light bitterness. Lots of refreshing lemon on top of a solid malty background with sweet caramel, but still not terribly exciting. A light dry finish and unfortunately some vague metallic hints as well. Drinkable but boring.

Draught @ Naamat, Tampere.
Pours beautiful clear golden color with small lasting head. Aroma of faint fruits, mild grain and butter notes and some pale malts. Flavour of grain, some distant honey notes, yeast, hay and some stuffy fruity notes. Alltogether a flawless product.

Pours a golden colour with a small white head. Mild aroma of grainy malts, some hops and herbs. Flavour of grainy malts, honey, herbs and sharp but toned down tartness. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and high carbonation. Finishes light sweet and grainy. Refreshing but not very memorable.

A fresh, light and decent Kölsch for a warm summer day. Can also be drunk in masses of small glasses in Cologne - in fact I highly recommend this.

Very light golden body and creamy white head. More citrus than other Alts. Hay, white bread and nutmeg. Light sweet, not very expressive. An almost watery body. There are much nicer Kolsch out there.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2012 From 50cl bottle @ La Birreria (Andorra la Vella). Clear golden body with a small white head that disappears quickly without lacing. Herbal aromas with grassy tones, slightly hoppy. Little bitterness, lightly salty. Clean, bright carbonation, with a nice long bitter finish. Absolutely delicious brew with a great refreshing power. Don’t expect great complexity, this is just a perfectly made Kolsch.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma is mild berry-like fruityness with hints of pale malts. Pleasant, but rather faint. Taste is very mild grainy pale malts, with a smooth roundness. Extremely low on taste, though the flawlessly executed blandness makes for good drinking. In fact, this is as non-descript as can be. I’m no an authority on Kölsch, but surely they’re supposed to taste more than this??
