500ml Can: Pours a brilliant pale golden with large rocky white head. Lacing. Slight metallic aroma, breadcrust and citrus. Flavours of malt, citrus and hay. Low bitterness, medium to high carbonation and medium body. Overall a bit disappointing really, expected much more.

Pours clear golden with a white and fizzy head. Aroma is fresh and sourish with a hint of fruity sweetness. Taste begins with dryish sourness and citrus flavours, but finishes with smooth malty flavours. Lively carbonation. Rather simple but refreshing and well-balanced brew. (0,5 l bottle, bb26.05.17)

Bottle. Pale yellow. Decent head. Aroma and taste are grassy, bready, grainy and skunky. Basement. Medium carbonation. Thin. Weak Kölsch. At least it’s sessionable.

On Draught
Pours a pale golden with a small but well retained head.

Aroma is clean & yeasty with a crisp malt character and a low to medium level of sweetness.

The flavor is lightly bitter & a little fruity. Clean & a little yeasty. Plenty of crisp malt.
Yes I realize that the Aroma and flavor descriptors I used are essentially the same

Bottle from the Good Spirits Co Wine & Beer. Pours a very very pale gold, with a big froth which doesn’t last Nose is cooked grains, faintly citric. Taste is very light, off dry, simple. Best thing about it is the palate - clean and refreshing. I imagine this would go down a treat on a hot thirsty day.

Aroma: Medium-light grainy, crackers, Light spiciness. Appearance: Brilliant, light-golden body. Medium, white head, fair retention. Flavour: Medium-light grainy, crackers, bready. Light metallic. Balanced towards the malt with a caramel sweetness. Light bitterness. Dry finish with lingering graininess. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-high carbonation Overall: The sweetness may be from heat stress. The sweetness lingers, becoming almost cloying, detracting from the easy drinking, lightness of the style. 500 ml can, poured. Thanks Rob! 5B. Kolsch

Tap at Brauhaus Schmitz, clear gold with white head. Way too much malt and sweet bread in this kolsch. Nothing bright or summery about it. Other notes of toast, grain, and wheat. Light bodied
