3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Corked bottle from La Ferme Vaudoise, Lausanne; vintage 2009, 4 years old
Yellow color, a bit pale and maybe greenish. The aroma is mild, very fresh, of pear. It’s moderately sweet, lean, with some pear juice flavor, relatively low acidity; some pear skins, and mild astringency in the final, also very light tannic bitterness.
Delicate one, but not fully convincing; not complex, not deep; would require more flavor, more sugars, then more acidity.
Draft - Apple and some tart peel notes. Pale gold. Almost no sweetness and some pear notes. Very true to the fruit but not that desert like. mcberko (19880) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 9, 2016
375mL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thanks Alex), pours a clear pale yellow. Aroma brings out lots of pear skins, sweet pear and a bit of brown sugar. Flavour isn’t very complex or elegant, bringing out boozy pears, booze, and some murky chalky notes. A bit rough but pleasant overall. Good. omhper (25958) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 13, 2014
Bottled, thanks fiulijn! Clear pale yellow. Aroma of fresh pears and white pepper. Sweet with near full body. Honey, pear, white pepper, fig jam chalk. Heated peppery finish.
